Learn How to Make Ice Pops at Your Apartment
Given the heat, baking in the summer isn’t always ideal, especially in Florida. However, that doesn’t mean everyone loses their sweet tooth when the temperatures rise. If you’re looking for a refreshing homemade dessert option, consider making your own ice pops. These icy treats are both sweet and cool, making them the perfect snack on a hot day. Plus, they are easy to make so you can whip up a quick batch yourself, or get the whole family involved in the activity.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your ice pops:
- Popsicle mold
- Popsicle sticks
- Fruit juice of choice
- Frozen fruit of choice
- Sweetener (optional)
To make, blend together frozen fruit, juice, and sweetener if desired until smooth. Then, pour the mixture evenly into your mold and add one Popsicle stick to each section. Next, place the mold in your freezer until pops are frozen solid – about six hours. Finally, remove the mold from your freezer, gently pull the ice pops out, and enjoy immediately! Or, save them for later and freeze your pops for up to two weeks.
