One of the state’s largest correctional complexes is actually a U.S. federal detention center located just a few miles south of PepperTree Apartment Homes. This facility is known as the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex, or FCC Coleman for short. • United States Penitentiary, Coleman (USP Coleman)

Located just south of the town of Coleman, off Highway 301, the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex is a major employer in the area.
