Florida Festivals Near Our Apartments by The Villages, FL

Because the weather is nice in Florida practically year-round, there are many outdoor festivals that celebrate different types of food and culture. The PepperTree Apartment Homes’ location in Central Florida means they are in the proximity of many of these festivals. Many Floridians enjoy partaking in these festivals to obtain produce at its peak and to enjoy local culture and art. Some of these festivals include:

• The Florida Strawberry Festival – This festival, which started in 1930, has become one of Florida’s most well-known events and typically occurs at the beginning of March. There are of course numerous agriculture exhibits that celebrate the strawberry, as well as fair rides and parades. In the evenings, guests can also enjoy entertainment from well-known performers.

• Buckler Craft Fairs – This fair travels around to different cities in Florida and is popular amongst those who enjoy making crafts to sell, as well as those who enjoy buying one-of-a-kind handmade goods. The Lakeland Buckler Craft Fair, which typically occurs at the beginning of October, is the closest to PepperTree.

• Silver Springs International Film Festival – For cinephiles in Central Florida, this film festival that occurs in the beginning of April celebrates the history of cinema and culture in Central Florida. In addition to screening new movies, this festival celebrates movies that were filmed in Central Florida such as “Tarzan” and “Creature From the Black Lagoon.”
